After months of planning and negotiations we are proud to announce the opening of Nelson's new community acupuncture clinic at the Victory Community Center.
I'm sure you're all wondering, what exactly is "community acupuncture"? I'm so glad you asked! To create a community acupuncture clinic we start with a large room with a relaxed atmosphere, add a few comfy recliner chairs, mix in a few patients and then let loose a skilled acupuncturist to stir things along.
The end result is quality treatments at an affordable price and a coming together of people from different walks of life to create and be part of a calm, quiet, relaxing experience - a rare find in our often busy modern lives.
Treatments occur fully clothed in a group setting. No appointments are necessary - just come in, take a seat, and I'll be with you as soon as I'm free.
Treatments last between 15-30 minutes and I suggest wearing loose, comfy clothing that allows you to roll the sleeves and pant legs up to the knees and elbows.
I'll be using acupuncture points on your hands, feet, arms, legs and ears - I can still treat all the usual conditions with these points including your back pain.
My favourite two things about this type of treatment are the sense of community it creates and the affordability. You choose how much you pay for each session on a sliding scale between $5 and $40, which means you can continue receiving treatment for as long as you need without having to worry about the cost. You can also relax afterward with a cup of tea and have a chat, or sit and enjoy the quiet.
The community clinic will be starting on the 14th of September and running every Friday between 11:30am and 3pm, with the final treatments starting at 2:40pm. I do have eftpos but it will be a smoother experience if you can please bring cash in exact change.
Please don't hesitate to contact me if you want more information or to discuss your condition .
I am super excited to finally have this clinic up and running and I can't wait to see you there!
