Before you see Kelly
you'll have questions...

Q: Does acupuncture hurt? A: Most points you won't feel at all, some points you may feel a dull ache or a heavy sensation, but this passes quickly. Most patients are so relaxed they fall asleep on the table!

Q: How many sessions will I need? A: This is different person to person. If your complaint has just cropped up in the last few weeks, you'll likely get results within 1-3 treatments, and most issues resolve within 3-6. If your complaint has been around for months or years, it may take 6-10 treatments to start getting on top of it.

Q: Does ACC cover acupuncture? A: Yes! ACC does cover acupuncture, but you need to have a current claim in order to use it. We can't make an ACC claim for you, but once you have one we can treat you under ACC

Q: What conditions can be improved through treatment? A: Acupuncture can be provided to patients with a wide variety of conditions. Kelly has experience working with pain and injuries, headaches and migraines, chronic fatigue, insomnia, period problems, pregnancy and fertility, anxiety and depression, and side effects of chemotherapy and radiation. If you're not sure if acupuncture can help, get in touch and Kelly will talk it through with you.

Q: What if I’m scared of needles? A: No problem! Acupuncture needles are super fine, about the thickness of a few strands of hair. They are so fine you can tie a knot in them! Most patients who are scared of needles manage the treatment fine and are very relaxed during. If you come in and the needles are too much, Kelly can do acupressure, cupping and moxa instead.

Q: What can I expect from my first treatment? A: Kelly will take a thorough consult, this includes diving into your medical history, health and lifestyle, and the issue you've come to see her for. She then talks things through with you, suggests things you can do at home to help things resolve, and you get around 15 minutes of treatment time which may include acupuncture, cupping or moxa.

Still got a question? Get in touch with Kelly - she's always happy to discuss your condition or any queries or concerns you may have
